20 week Sound Practitioner Course

Sound Practitioner Training – 2026

Start your sound practitioner journey with Sound Therapy Scotland


This course offers over 50 hours of immersive, hands-on training across four weekends (or four midweek blocks). You’ll gain the skills, confidence, and understanding to use sound in 1-to-1 sessions, group sound baths, and your own personal practice.

What you’ll learn

  • Playing techniques for gongs, singing bowls, and other sound instruments - the main focus of this course is singing bowls, both Himalayan and crystal.

  • How to structure and hold safe, effective sound baths

  • Using sound in 1-to-1 settings with clients

  • Incorporating sound into your existing holistic practice (if relevant)

  • Understanding vibration, resonance, and the body

  • Practitioner awareness: ethics, safety, and boundaries
